Earth’s Six Sense, A Beacon of Sustainability
The Triumphant Harmony of Economic, Environmental, and Social Integration

Travel isn't just about seeing beautiful places; it's a journey into the soul. Since 1995, Six Senses Hotel Group has upheld this belief, aiming to awaken the senses and reconnect guests with themselves and the world around them. Six Senses sets a high bar for sustainability. Each of their properties echoes a commitment to balancing economic, environmental, and social factors. The hotels are constructed with eco-friendly materials and designed with a low carbon footprint in mind. Especially in 2020, Six Senses signed the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative and is aiming to go plastic-free by the end of 2022. Six Senses' approach to hospitality goes beyond the ordinary. On-site organic gardens provide fresh ingredients for restaurants and spas. But the brand isn't just about sustainability; it's also about well-being. Six Senses has redefined "wellness" to include not just spas but a holistic approach to health. Their "Six Senses Integrated Wellness" philosophy includes a range of programs focused on longevity and spiritual growth. In 2014, the "Sleep With Six Senses" program was launched, equipping rooms with technology to help guests relax and sleep better. Today, the brand offers a variety of expert-led experiences that extend its philosophy even further. From dance and detox camps to self-discovery retreats, Six Senses provides a break from routine life, opening doors to new possibilities and deeper relationships.

Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain

Chengdu  •  China

Clay roof tiles and natural timber gables are aligned with precise Feng Shui axes, ensuring every window frames the serenity of a mountain. Ascending the bamboo-shaded ramp, you are no longer a tourist but a recluse returning home. At Farm 2 Fork, vegetables freshly plucked from the organic garden still carry the scent of earth, transformed by the executive chef into plant-based art. You might choose a private Sichuan meal by the hearth in the Secret Dining Room or attend a talk on moon bear rescue at the Moon Bar. In the morning, follow Master Yang in the Tai Chi Garden for a moving meditation, feeling the flow of Qi through your meridians; in the afternoon, blend your own body scrub infused with Mount Qingcheng green tea at the Alchemy Bar in the Six Senses Spa. Six Senses London

London is not short on luxury hotels. What London is short on is a reason to actually slow down. Six Senses London, which opened on 1 March 2026 as the brand's first UK property, is exactly that reason. The hotel occupies a quarter of The Whiteley on Queensway, a Grade II-listed building that began life in 1863 as London's first department store. Its founder, William Whiteley, famously promised anything from "a pin to an elephant." The restoration, led by Foster + Partners, has preserved the neoclassical facade, the central rotunda and the grand staircase modelled on La Scala in Milan. Hyde Park is a short walk south, Notting Hill around the corner, and Heathrow roughly an hour by the Central line. Interiors by AvroKO and EPR Architects reinterpret the building's Art Deco bones in warm neutrals and curved lines, and greenery drifts from the lobby into the guest corridors.

The 109 rooms and suites, many with private terraces, favour earth tones, natural timber and textiles that shift with the light across the day. What really sets Six Senses London apart from the city's other five-star addresses waits below ground: a 2,300-square-metre spa anchored by London's first hotel magnesium pool, joined by a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, cryotherapy chambers, flotation rooms and a longevity clinic. At the Alchemy Bar, guests blend their own body scrubs from British herbs. The Biohack Recovery Lounge gathers infrared, contrast therapy and compression boots for travellers who take recovery seriously. Whiteley's Kitchen, Bar and Café handles the dining, modern British cooking led by seasonal produce and fire, from dawn breakfasts to late-night natural wines. Upstairs, Six Senses Place, the brand's first private members' club, ties the hotel into the rhythms of the neighbourhood.
