Atix Hotel

La Paz  •  Bolivia
Designed to be a live-in art gallery, the 53-room Atix, which means “one who thrives” in Quechua, displays fine-art photography and artwork in the corridors, rooms, and common areas by native artist Gastón Ugalde. With the fine arts Ugalde made, the enigmatic parallelogram shape of Atix creates another stunning bay window views from every angle, immersing guests in the surrounding Andean Valley. The facade is clad in Bolivian wood and the same Comanche stone used to pave the streets of La Paz in the 1920s and 1930s. With this fabulous view, " ONA " Atix restaurant is using Bolivia's rich biodiversity and gastronomic local ingredients to create an innovative menu for Atix customers.
