Arizona Biltmore, LXR Hotels & Resorts

The Arizona Biltmore has reigned as the “Jewel of the Desert” since its debut in 1929, an icon of Phoenix defined by its profound architectural legacy. Designed by architect Albert Chase McArthur with deep influence of his consultant, Frank Lloyd Wright, the hotel is famous by the geometric “Biltmore Block,” a pre-cast concrete block that gives the structure its timeless, organic texture. For nearly a century, it has served as an oasis for presidents and Hollywood celebrities, with its historic Wright Bar as the birthplace of the Tequila Sunrise. Following a multi-million-dollar renovation, the Biltmore was reborn in 2021 as a flagship for LXR Hotels & Resorts. This transformation masterfully preserved its historic soul while infusing it with contemporary luxury. The social experience was reimagined with the addition of The Spire Bar, a chic, circular outdoor lounge that has become the resort’s vibrant new heart. A new, dedicated sanctuary for wellness, the Tierra Luna Spa, offers treatments inspired by the desert and cosmos. The foods was revitalized with Renata’s Hearth, specializing in wood-fired Latin cuisine, and McArthur's, a contemporary American eatery. With seven distinct swimming pools, including a family-friendly complex with a 65-foot waterslide, the resort caters to both serene relaxation and lively recreation, solidifying its status as a timeless yet thoroughly modern destination.

Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts

The cacophony of the Las Vegas Strip is instantly silenced at the private porte-cochère of 333 West Resorts World Avenue. The emerald greens and peacock blues of Crockfords are not random choices; they are a calculated fusion of Feng Shui and color psychology, designed to transmute the desert heat into a regal coolness. Beneath the 26-foot vaulted ceiling, there is no slot machine clamor—only the shimmer of crystal chandeliers and the layered scent of Byredo in the air. There are only 236 keys here, each unlocking a curated world of privacy, whether it’s the god-like neon panorama from the 66th floor of the Main Tower or a secluded garden villa hidden behind dedicated elevators in the West Tower.

Inside your suite, the smart toilet lid rises automatically, and a Theragun sits ready on the nightstand to dissolve the stiffness of a long-haul flight. You need not leave your sanctuary; a touch of a panel summons A5 Miyazaki Wagyu from Carversteak or Australian abalone from Genting Palace directly to your dining table. For a complete system reboot, the Aufguss sauna masters at Awana Spa are already waving towels, turning heat and essential oils into a theatrical sensory performance. As night falls, a private elevator whisks you to the clouds at Club 66, where the Twilight cocktail in your hand merges with the ocean of light below.

Katara Hills Doha, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Doha  •  Qatar
Geometric lines of the man-made hills slice through Doha’s flat horizon; Katara Hills LXR does not sit upon the land but hovers above the verdant canopy of the Cultural Village. Fifteen villas descend along a spiraling trajectory, a precise mathematical layout that eliminates intersecting sightlines, ensuring absolute solitude for every guest. Nordic minimalism’s cool restraint infiltrates the Arabian heat, where laminated wood structures and seamless microcement surfaces reveal a primal austerity under the sun. There is no intricate gold ornamentation here, only the measurement of time left by light on rough-textured walls.

Slide open the floor-to-ceiling glass, and the private infinity pool, heated to 34°C, draws the turquoise of the Arabian Gulf into the living space. The microcement pool floor feels like natural rock beneath your feet as you gaze out at the Lusail skyline, hearing not a whisper of the city’s traffic. At night, the glow of the tandoor at Gymkhana reflects off dark wood paneling, while the aroma of truffle and morel biryani fills the colonial-style club space. A private butler steers a silent buggy through the lush botanical maze, returning you to your secluded estate hidden within the folds of the hill.

Cameo Beverly Hills, LXR Hotels & Resort

The Beverly Hills sunlight filters through the canopy at 1224 Beverwil Drive, casting dappled shadows upon the whitewashed façade. Inside, the excessive ornamentation of the past has been stripped away; custom burl wood and smoked white oak now reconstruct the spatial skeleton. Organic sculptural lighting floats mid-air, engaging in a dialogue with abstract canvases that absorb the California glow. There is no oppressive opulence here, only the relaxed warmth of old money—as if you have stepped not into a hotel, but into a private residence where the walls breathe with texture rather than prestige.

Every key unlocks a space with a private terrace, a defiant claim to personal space in a crowded city. You slide open the floor-to-ceiling glass and settle into a teak chair, the scent of Peruvian purple corn from a Pisco Sour still lingering in your glass. In the distance, the L.A. skyline frames the palm trees; closer at hand, the aroma of Molton Brown rises under the heavy stream of a rainfall shower. Whether you are overlooking the city lights from the 12th-floor rooftop or retreating from the afternoon heat in a private cabana, everything here emphasizes a tactile reality.
