Opened in 2016 and a member of Small Luxury Hotels, the hotel draws its identity from Cléo de Mérode, the Belle Époque dancer whose beauty inspired Klimt, Toulouse-Lautrec and Proust, composer Reynaldo Hahn called her his "pretty little narcissus." Laurent & Laurence and Studio Alkekenge lined six floors with white panelling, gold mouldings, velvet and powder-rose textiles; the narcissus motif runs from ceiling reliefs to doorknobs. The 37 rooms and suites span Classic to Executive plus seven individually styled suites. Views face a courtyard or Parisian rooftops; top-floor rooms catch the Eiffel Tower. Aurore Suite opens to a terrace aligned with the tower at sunrise; Cléo Suite carries the muse's name; Toits de Paris frames the skyline through full-height glass.

Cléo restaurant sits beneath a glass roof, Chef Alexandre Semperé building contemporary French cuisine around seasonal produce. Bar Léopold, named for the Belgian king rumored to have loved Cléo, seats a handful amid dark floral wallpaper and velvet. The Spa by Clarins offers a 13-meter counter-current pool, whirlpool, hammam, sauna, and fitness room with full Clarins treatments. Le Narcisse Blanc is not the kind of Paris hotel that asks you to crane your neck at chandeliers, it is a love letter to the Belle Époque, written in white, gold, and the scent of narcissus.

All the charms of Normandy await you here!

Le Bristol Paris

Paris  •  France
At 112 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, flanked by the Élysée Palace on one side and the vitrines of Hermès and Lanvin on the other, Le Bristol Paris has occupied a limestone hôtel particulier for a full century. An Oetker Collection property and the first hotel in France to receive the coveted Palace distinction, it houses 190 rooms and suites, each individually furnished with Louis XV and Louis XVI antiques, bespoke Colefax & Fowler curtains, and Quagliotti bed linens that evoke a private Parisian apartment rather than a hotel room. The house still issues original silver keys instead of magnetic cards. French windows open onto a 1,200-square-metre formal garden where more than 5,000 flowers bloom under the eye of Lady Arabella Lennox-Boyd, while the sixth-floor indoor rooftop pool, lined in teak and designed by naval architect Pinnau, frames the Sacré-Cœur and the Eiffel Tower in a single panorama. Socrate, the hotel's resident Burmese cat, patrols the Aubusson-carpeted lobby with regal indifference.

Epicure has held three Michelin stars continuously since 2009. Chef Arnaud Faye, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France who took the reins in 2024, places seasonal vegetables at the centre of every course, with fish and meat cast in supporting roles. The hotel operates its own flour mill, grinding heritage wheat daily and turning out 192 croissants each morning. 114 Faubourg holds one Michelin star under Chef Loïc Dantec, its open basement kitchen pulsing with an energy closer to a neighbourhood brasserie than a palace restaurant. Café Antonia, with its frescoed walls and crystal chandeliers, draws a devoted afternoon-tea following. Spa Le Bristol by La Mer offers eight treatment rooms and a couples' suite, while Le Jardin Français unfurls a canopy of roses and orange trees just steps from the bustle of Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Charles de Gaulle Airport is approximately 30 kilometres away; Orly is 23 kilometres. Le Bristol is for travellers who want to live in Paris, not merely visit — a house where the silver key in your pocket, the flour milled before dawn, and the cat asleep on the carpet all say the same thing: the things worth having are the things made slowly.

Over the decades, the Lutetia became an emblem of Left Bank culture and intellect, hosting celebrated figures such as James Joyce, Henri Matisse, and Édith Piaf. After a meticulous four-year restoration, the hotel reopened in 2018, and in 2025 it joined the Mandarin Oriental portfolio, ushering in a new chapter of refined Parisian luxury.

The hotel features 137 rooms and 47 suites, each elegantly appointed with soft hues, graceful French lines, and contemporary craftsmanship. Many accommodations include private balconies overlooking the rooftops of Paris or the Eiffel Tower. Dining and social experiences are equally distinguished: Brasserie Lutetia serves classic French cuisine in a lively setting, while Bar Joséphine is renowned for its artistic ambiance and creative cocktails; the Saint-Germain Salon provides the perfect space for afternoon tea or refined gatherings. The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre combines Eastern and Western philosophies of wellness, offering an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, and treatment suites for complete mind-body rejuvenation. Steps away from the Musée d’Orsay and the Luxembourg Gardens, Mandarin Oriental, Lutetia Paris redefines Left Bank luxury with its deep sense of history, artistic spirit, and the legendary service synonymous with the Mandarin Oriental name, an enduring icon where Parisian heritage meets modern grace.

Paris  •  France
Parisian luxury is rarely about display; more often, it reveals itself through address, proportion, and an almost effortless sense of restraint. La Réserve Paris embodies that idea as a private mansion in the heart of the city. Set at 42 Avenue Gabriel, between Avenue Montaigne and Faubourg Saint-Honoré and just moments from the Champs-Élysées, the hotel commands one of Paris’s most privileged settings, with views toward the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, and Place de la Concorde. Housed in an early-20th-century Haussmann-style residence, it feels closer to an exclusive private club than a traditional Palace hotel, offering a rare sense of stillness and intimacy. With just 15 rooms and 25 suites, the property recreates the atmosphere of aristocratic Paris through silk-lined walls, velvet drapes, herringbone parquet, antique furnishings, and marble fireplaces. Interiors by the legendary Jacques Garcia restore original woodwork, moldings, decorative details, and cornices with remarkable precision, capturing the grandeur, depth, and theatricality of classical Paris at its most refined.

Dining is equally central to the experience. At Le Gabriel, chef Jérôme Banctel leads the hotel’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant with an exacting vision of French haute cuisine, while La Pagode de Cos offers a more contemporary interpretation shaped by terroir and polished ease. La Véranda and Le Gaspard bring a lighter, more relaxed rhythm through seafood, cocktails, and distinctly Parisian social energy. On the wellness side, the hotel’s 16-meter indoor pool, a rarity in central Paris, and Spa Nescens deepen its sense of quiet retreat. For the well-traveled guest, La Réserve Paris is compelling not simply because of its coveted address, but because it distills the spirit of historic Paris, the intimacy of a private residence, and the finest expression of French art de vivre into a form of urban elegance experienced by only a fortunate few.

Ritz Paris

Paris  •  France
Ritz Paris has occupied 15 Place Vendôme since 1898 and remains one of the defining hotel addresses in Paris. Founded by César Ritz, it opened with electricity on every floor and private bathrooms in guest rooms, a level of comfort that was remarkably advanced for its time. Set in the 1st arrondissement, within easy reach of Rue Saint-Honoré, the Opéra and the Tuileries, the hotel sits at the intersection of haute couture, old-world ceremony and Right Bank polish. It offers 142 keys, with rooms and suites that vary in mood, palette and outlook: some look onto Place Vendôme, the Eiffel Tower or the Opéra Garnier, while others face the Grand Jardin at the center of the property. Inside, carved woodwork, velvet, gilded accents and marble bathrooms sustain the house’s unmistakably French sense of theater, while the Prestige Suites, named for figures such as Coco Chanel, Frédéric Chopin and F. Scott Fitzgerald, deepen the feeling that this is as much a cultural landmark as a hotel.

Much of the Ritz Paris experience unfolds through its restaurants, bars and wellness spaces. Espadon, the only Michelin-starred restaurant on Place Vendôme, is led by Chef Eugénie Béziat, whose cuisine draws on memories of Africa and the southern Mediterranean while staying rooted in seasonality and local sourcing. Bar Vendôme brings a more classic Parisian rhythm beneath its glass roof, Salon Proust slows the day down with wood paneling, antique books and teatime ritual, while Ritz Bar and the intimate Bar Hemingway carry the evening into a different register. At 17 Place Vendôme, Ritz Club & Spa offers a softer contemporary atmosphere built around holistic wellbeing, and its signature 16-metre pool, shimmering in layered shades of blue, remains one of the hotel’s most recognizable spaces. The appeal of Ritz Paris lies not only in its legend, but in how convincingly it still lives it.

Paris  •  France
It began life as a modest hunting lodge built by Louis XIII in 1623, but under the ownership of Louis XIV, Versailles became a magnificent palace renowned throughout the world. Over the course of more than 100 years, and during numerous successions to the throne, the building was embellished and enlarged to accommodate the court of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI. Now considered one of the finest achievements of French art, the Palace of Versailles remains a cultural symbol of royal splendour. Set within the gates of Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle was built in 1681 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, Louis XIV’s favourite architect and an icon of French classicism. The grandiose building once played host to Europe’s political and cultural elite, from ambassadors and artists, to musicians, writers and scientists of the Enlightenment.

Now, more than two centuries later, Le Grand Contrôle has been entirely restored, offering guests an exclusive peek into the world of Versailles. Unlock access to the 2,000 acre-strong gardens, retrace famous footsteps and explore the palace halls and apartments like never before. With 13 sumptuous Rooms and Suites replete with period furnishings and fittings for a royal stay, guests are invited to step back in history, but one coupled with contemporary comforts. Furniture and paintings that once had a place in the palace have been reunited with their former home. Technology has been thoughtfully considered throughout; in place of TVs, guests will instead discover views of the Orangery Garden and the Lake of the Swiss Guards beautifully framed by drapery, whilst the lighting has been sensitively designed in keeping with 18th-century styling. Throughout their stay, guests will enjoy revamped takes on royal classics - from the Alain Ducasse restaurant to the Valmont Spa. Reborn in 2023 under the Paris Society collection, this remarkable estate spans over 185 acres of lakes, forests, and meadows, embodying the poetic serenity of the French countryside. The architecture merges Gothic and neoclassical elements, preserving vaulted arches, stained-glass windows, and stone façades while incorporating warm wood accents and modern lighting to create a refined, timeless atmosphere. The hotel features 145 rooms and suites spread across the main abbey, former stables, and forest-side annexes, with interiors ranging from minimalist elegance to ornate period style, some retaining original stone walls and vaulted ceilings, allowing guests to sleep within centuries of history.

Dining at the Abbaye offers a theatrical experience: Les Chasses, the signature restaurant, serves exquisite French cuisine, while Le Réfectoire des Moines, set within the original vaulted dining hall, evokes the spirit of monastic feasts under candlelight and stone arches. La Caserne Chanzy Hotel & Spa, Autograph Collection

Paris  •  France
The Gothic spires of Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral stand so close you could almost trace their stonework from your window. La Caserne Chanzy faces this UNESCO monument, the church where French kings were crowned for over nine centuries, and carries its own storied past. Built in 1926 as Reims' first fire station, the Art Deco building served nearly 70 years before falling silent. Architect Christophe Ballan led its transformation into a boutique hotel that opened in 2019 with 89 rooms and 17 suites, preserving the original facade. Julie Fuillet Studio shaped the interiors around heritage, knowledge and initiation, weaving cork, timber and glass in a palette of gold, green and earth tones. Roughly half the rooms look onto the cathedral; some offer balconies where its floodlit facade becomes a nightly projection. Each evening at six, staff ring a bell at the old fire tower in tribute to the building's former life.

La Grande Georgette, the all-day restaurant, takes its name from a 1920s tradition of naming the fire ladder after the captain's wife. Navy walls, fire-engine-red leather seats and ladder motifs wink at the building's origins, while the open kitchen sends out dishes rooted in local produce, Reims ham, honey-braised sweetbreads and small-producer cheeses. The restaurant earned the Reims à Table award for its grower-Champagne list, and its 80-seat heated terrace faces the cathedral head-on. Deep Nature Spa covers more than 450 square metres with an infinity hydromassage pool, sauna, hammam, ice fountain and five treatment rooms using Vinésime products. In winter, Le Chalet pops up in the courtyard for fireside raclette. The Palais du Tau and the Opera are steps away, and the great houses along the Avenue de Champagne — Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart — sit within a 15-minute drive, their chalk cellars stretching more than 250 kilometres beneath the city.
